Rendy Jones (they/he) is a screenwriter, journalist, editor, stand up comic, photographer, and pretty much a jack of all trades in the realm of entertainment.
Born in 1998, Rendy Jones has been in love with movies ever since he watched his first home video as a child. With a huge passion for film that he wears on his sleeve, Jones was determined to become a filmmaker and associate himself with the art form no matter what.
In February 2012, at the age of 13, Jones began self-publishing his own reviews on his own website and still does to this day. Heck you’re on it right now?
In 2018 at age 20, Jones became the youngest African-American and first Gen-Z film critic and to be added onto the Rotten Tomatoes database. They’re also a member of the Critics' Choice Awards (BFCA), New York Online Film Critics Association, and GALECA: Society of LGBTQ Society of Entertainment Critics.
As of today, Jones expanded his reach outside R.R’s realm and have been seen in Vanity Fair, Them, Teen Vogue, CBC News, and Paste. At the end of the day, he still writes for his site.
