My Critic Choice Awards 2025 Nomination Ballot

Preview

In case you didn’t know (because I say it all the damn time), I’m a member of the Critic’s Choice Association. There’s a ton of us, but as of today, and the past few years, I stand as like the youngest Black person on the entire member committee. I got in there at 21 and here I am at 26. Whenever I decide to attend the ceremony in LA, I am usually one of the few Gen-Z voters in the room.

Listen, I have learned a lot of good and bad things about the industry just by being a member. But this isn't the post for that. It's nomination time, baby! And your boi just submitted their ballot. And here I am, sharing it with you guys. First of all, each member gets to choose three nominees per category, excluding the best picture, which we get five. Secondly, these are MY picks. If you don't see your movie here, don't get in my DMs to complain about my picks. If I didn't nominate for the obvious acclaimed movies like Conclave or Anora or A Complete Unknown, it's either because I know they're going to be fine with the rest of the committee, or I didn't like them. Now let's get into my ballot, shall we.

And hey, since you’re here and probably reading this for free, please consider becoming a Rendy Reviews member for more exclusive insights and updates about this year’s awards race.
