It’s quite fitting for this film to be titled Desperados because it desperately tries to make you laugh.

The fact that I watched a 154-minute Spike Lee movie at 1 AM and was too entertained to get fatigued is as big a recommendation as I can give.

Showalter, Rae, and Nanjiani are so damn talented and it’s definitely disappointing to see them have to work with a mediocre script.

As far as animated features go, The Willoughbys are going to be hard to beat during next year’s awards season.
